 1) Type up any feedback from your teacher in full (you do not need to write the mark/grade if you do not wish to).

2) Look at the mark scheme document linked above. Question 1.1 asks about mise-en-scene. What do we use to remember mise-en-scene? Give one example answer from the clip too - you'll find example answers in the mark scheme.

We use CLAMPS to remember mise-en-scene.

Costume of the 2 girls getting chased by Lyra and Will, their costume were quite clean and unique.




3) Question 1.2 asks about narrative features in the extract. Look at the mark scheme to pick out three possible answers for this question. 

• Excellent analysis of the product that is detailed and critically engages

with the nuanced aspects of how media language is used.
• Focus on how narrative features communicate meanings is thorough
and effective.

• Consistent appropriate and effective use of subject terminology
throughout.




4) Now focus on Question 2 - the 20 mark essay. Use the mark scheme to pick out one way Doctor Who reflects 1963 and one way His Dark Materials reflects 2020. 

• Traditionally, Doctor was a white male, most often with a younger female companion,
reflecting and reinforcing traditional gender roles of the times, with the man as powerful
and in control and the woman as helper. Women’s helper role often been to provide an
emotional, empathetic side to the programme. Reinforcing the idea that men are active,
action-centred while women are more passive, emotional and sensitive



• Representations of race have also developed to reflect changing social and political
contexts. For example, in the 1963 episode of Doctor Who, the Doctor refers to ‘the savage
mind’ of ‘Red Indians’ not able to understand advanced technology. This dismissive and
colonialist attitude seems very outdated now and more recent seasons have shown a much
more positive attitude to those of other cultures and races. His Dark Materials has a much
more representative reflection of current British society with a wide range of ethnicities
represented on screen.


5) Reflect on your overall work and exam performance this year. What three things do you need to work on or revise in Media for Year 11? 


I must listen more in lesson, not get distracted, REVISE, must complete answers in full detail, must ask questions if I am stuck on a certain question, and I must take everything seriously. Sometimes when I have free time and home, I should look at videos to help me out in media or other types of lessons.

Minority Report Clip: Camera movement H/W task

 Task 1: 1)   In the Minority Report Clip, we see at approximately 1:00 into the scene, a track/dolly  camera type. This camera types means to 'swoop' or turn ever so smoothly. This scene is when he is running at very fast paced and trying to get away from the people in the flying costumes. I think they used this track/dolly  movement because everything was fast paced. This show's the audience that everything is moving fast and he is running away from the cops. The second camera movement on the Minority Clip is a called a  tilt . This means if it tilts up or down, it is mostly used for people to look like hero or villainous. At 1:13 of the video, it shows the cops flying down towards Tom Cruise (bad guy). This tells us and the audience that the cops are powerful and will most likely stop Tom. But not really, as they got bruised up at the end. The last camera type I caught was the zoom . I think it's around 34. 2) How much money have the MCU films made in total according to this article? Disney's Marvel Cinematic Universe has become the first film franchise in history to cross $30 billion at the global box office. 3) Why did Marvel create the Avengers films? They created Avengers films to introduce the Avengers. They also created this to earn money and gain popularity around the world so they can become one of the top film producers. 4) Who owns the rights to Spiderman and why is the character now appearing in Marvel films?
